The Andhra pradesh Public Service Commission ( APPSC ) came to light on November 1,1956 with formation of State of  Andhra pradesh.back in the days,It used to be called Andhra Public Service commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State.

On the occasion of formation of APPSC,Andhra pradesh Public Service Commission had started functioning with one chairman and two members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission had Started functioning with one chairman and one member.later on APPSC was formed with one chairman and Three present,It was increased the strength to one chairman and 9 members.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2018-Educational Qualification.

A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University/Institute or equivalent.

For Assistant in commission of Technical Education.

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Economics or Mathematics from a recognised University.the candidates who completes certificate course examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education and Training,AP are also eligible for these posts.these courses are as follows.

1.Office Automation.

2.PC maintenance and Troubleshooting.

3.Web Designing.


Should have Bachelor’s Degree in B.C.A or Computer or Computer or B.A Computer or Equivalent.

The candidates who passed B.Tech Computer Science or B.Tech ( IT ) are also eligible.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2018-Age Limit :

For above all vacancies, a candidate’s age should be 21 years of minimum age and should not beyond 36 years of age.

Age relaxation is applicable as per notification.the age relaxation is as follows.

SC,ST and OBC category candidates will get 5 years age relaxation.

10 years age relaxation  will be provided  for PH category Candidates.

Ex-servicemen also gets 3 years of age relaxation.

5 years of age relaxation will be given  for A.P. State Government Employees (the Employees of Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board (APSEB), Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), Corporations, Municipalities etc. are not eligible)

Retrenched temporary employees possessing a minimum of 6 months service, in the Census Department will be given 3 years of age relaxation.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2018-Application Fee.

Applicant should pay Rs.250 towards application processing fee and Rs.80 towards Examination Fee.But Fee exemption that is Rs.80 only is also applicable for the following category candidates-SC,ST,OBC,PH & Ex-servicemen.

Keep in mind payment of fee mentioned above should be paid online mode only through payment gateway using Net-banking/Credit card/Debit card.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2018-Application procedure.

A candidate should Register his/her bio-data Particulars through ‘One Time Password Registration” on the commission website.once Applicant registered his/her details.a user Id will be generated and sent their registered mobile number or email.

Now click on “OTPR” button,it will navigate you to another window and on the window application form will be displayed.

Just give all the information on the application form and upload photo & Signature and then make payment.

Make sure check out all the details you give on the online application form,then hit on submit button.once you submit you will get application No ,keep this No.safely for future reference.

Selection of the Candidate:

The selection of the candidates will be made based on written test and certificate verification.

Group 2 Exam Pattern and Syllabus.

The First Phase of selection procedure is screening test that is General Studies containing 150 questions each question carrying 1 mark.this is completely qualifying nature only.Marks in screening test won’t be calculated for final selection of the candidate.

The Second phase of selection process is Main examination having three papers with 150 questions each one carrying one mark that consists  General studies and Mental ability,Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh & General Overview of the Indian constitution  and  Planning in India and Indian Economy & Economy of Andhra Pradesh.each paper.

APPSC Group 2 Notification 2018-Hall Ticket/Call Letter.

The Andhra pradesh Public Service Commission conducts Offline mode examination if it receives more than 25,000 applications and is likely to be held in January / February 2019.

The Main Examination will be conducted online for the candidates who qualify in the screening test that means It will be held online through Computer Based Test (CBT).
